What Is Luxury Wooden Hanger

Wooden hangers are specifically designed to mirror the structure of your shoulders to maintain the original shape of your garments. Since mental hangers bend over time, they'll lose the ability to sustain the weight of your clothing, compromising their shape and causing them to hang unevenly.

Advantages of Luxury Wooden Hanger

Durability: Wood is a more robust and durable material than plastic hangers. In this way, it can safely carry even your heavy clothes.

Shape Preservation: Wooden hangers are designed with a wide and rounded shoulder area. This helps your clothes maintain their natural shape and prevent wrinkling.

Air Flow: Wood is a breathable material. This allows your clothes to breathe and prevents bad odors.

Aesthetics: Wooden hangers add zen to your wardrobe with their natural and stylish look. With different wood types and processing options, it is possible to find wooden hangers for every taste and decoration.

What Are the Materials of Wooden Hangers

The lotus wood hanger is hard, light gray, straight and neat in texture. The wood is durable, rot-resistant and wear-resistant. It is widely used in the production of hangers, and the sales targets are mainly hotels and supermarkets. Pants clips and skirt clips are generally made of lotus wood.
Beech coat hangers

Heavy, strong, impact resistant, easy to bend under steam, can be shaped, nails perform well, but tend to crack; clear grain; heavier than most hardwoods, prone to cracking when kiln drying and processing. Mostly used in the production of luxury hangers
Ash hanger

The wooden structure is thick, the texture is straight but irregular, the pattern is beautiful, shiny, and the hardness is high; it has the characteristics of elasticity, good toughness, wear resistance, and moisture resistance; but it is difficult to dry and easy to warp. The processing performance is good, but tearing should be prevented; the cut surface is smooth, and the paint and adhesive properties are good. The price is more expensive than beech wood.
Plywood hanger

Put the wood on the cutting machine, let the wood keep rotating, and then use a planer parallel to the axis to cut off the irregular parts of the wood surface first, until the veneer is complete and no pits come out. Cutting, laminating, gluing and pressing, of course, there is a link between steam and so on, and pressurization is also inevitable.

Why Buy Wooden Hangers

Although wooden hangers cost a little more upfront than plastic or wire hangers, they can help prevent your clothes from sagging, tearing, and wrinkling and won't break or bend under heavy weight. Plus, wood is a sustainable material that lasts long.
Factors to consider
Know your closet as well as the hangers to buy before purchase. Considering the below in advance will save you time, money, and energy.

Shoulder shape
The angle of the contoured hanger shoulder matters for hanging tops with collars. To hang your coats, suits, and collared shirts effectively, it is recommended to use hangers with more generous slopes.

Material
Lotus and pine wood hangers are the most common choices in the market. They are less expensive, lightweight but consequently less durable. High-end woods, such as birch, maple, and walnut, cost a little bit more but last longer.

Width
The hanger width should match the shoulder width of your tops. If it's too wide, your clothes can be stretched or distorted; too narrow, your clothes may not stay in place at all.

Thickness
Not all clothes need thick hangers, and not the thicker, the better. Thicker hangers are better at supporting heavy items like winter coats, while thinner hangers would suffice for most shirts, blouses, and dresses. Also, using thin hangers for your everyday clothes can save storage space in your closet, allowing it to hold more hangers and clothes.

Quantity
Most hangers are sold in 20, 30, or more packs a set. It is better to buy too more than too few, so you won't have to purchase hangers of different styles and colors when you need more.

Features to look for
You'd be sorry if you bought hangers with no utilitarian features. Believe me. Because that's what I did. The features listed below are some that you may wish your hangers to have when you use them.

Pant bar
Crossbars connected to either end are common in ordinary hangers. They are convenient for draping pants. Sometimes, this horizontal bar may have anti-slip ribs or be constructed of paint-coated steel.

Notches
Strap notches, which can be seen on the majority of wooden hangers, are used for hanging strappy dresses, camisoles, and other items without shoulders or sleeves.

Finish
Wooden hangers can be colorful, too. If you prefer a light hue, look for an oak or natural finish. A cherry or walnut finish would be ideal if you favor dark shades. There are also painted finishes like white or black. You can add colors through hangers in your closet to lift your mood.

Swivel hooks
It's better to buy hangers with hooks that can rotate 360 degrees, so you don't have to take your garments off the hangers to adjust directions.

Choose the right wooden hangers can elevate your closet and space
Tips
1. Consider how much closet space you have available and what kind of organization works best for you before purchasing.
2. Check the surfaces on the shoulder, pant crossbar, and inside the notches before use. Any wood spikes, bumps, or indentations on the surfaces may snag or rip your clothes.
3. Don't hang damp or wet clothes with the wooden hangers. Moisture will damage the wood.
4. Don't keep free hangers from your dry cleaner. They are free but also ineffective. Plus, they will break the aesthetic and coherency in your closet.

Men's and women's pantsuits

These hangers usually have a locking, pant-bar connected to each end of the hanger. Most people prefer to hang their suits components altogether on one hanger. The bar keeps the slacks wrinkle-free and from slipping off the hanger. The top part of the hanger, keeps the suit jacket neatly shaped in the closet.

Women's suits with skirts

These hangers are similar in purpose to pant-suit hangers. They keep the suit pieces together on one hanger but are specifically designed to hang a skirt instead of pants. There is a bar across the bottom with clips that hold a skirt in place underneath your hung jacket.

Blouses, dresses and sweaters

Lighter-weight blouses and dresses hang perfectly on thinner hangers that fit compactly alongside others in your closet. You can buy them with or without notches on the top to keep slippery fabrics or dress-straps from falling off. Quality wood hangers also come with non-slip features to keep your sweaters from sliding off or poking corners into the shoulders.

Pants

Wood hangers designed to keep your pants from having unsightly creases or wrinkles save you ironing time or pressing costs. You'll also avoid the aggravation of pulling a pair of pants out of your closet, only to discover that you can't wear them without a good, last-minute pressing if they've been folded over a thin, metal hanger for a few weeks.

Winter and fur coats

Sturdy wooden hangers designed to hold heavy winter coats keep them drier after you've been out in a rain or snow storm. They help you to space your coats so they have room to breathe and stay fresh in the closet and help your coats and jackets keep their shape.

Wool clothing

Clothing that contains wool fibers needs to be stored differently than clothes made from other fabrics. Wool is a natural fabric that needs to breathe every day whether you are wearing it in-season or storing it. It attracts moths in every climate and every home. Cedar hangers are perfect for keeping the moths at bay in the off-season so you don't find tiny holes in your beautiful sweaters when you pull them out in fall.

Eco-sensitive

Bamboo hangers are ideal for people who focus on making environmentally-sensitive purchases that minimally affect the environment. Bamboo grows abundantly throughout the world and quickly renews itself after harvesting. It is as sturdy as wood and comes in the same variety of styles and colors.

Children's clothing

We've designed wooden children's hangers for smaller-sized clothes and outerwear. They have all the features of adult-sized hangers and have extra-smooth sanding and polishing so little hands and fingers won't get splinters. Children's hangers are also easier for children to use so that they can learn to be confident about choosing their clothing and about helping to put their clothing away. You can also decorate these hangers with fun shapes and colors to make laundry time more interactive and fun.

Fragile and delicate clothing

Wood hangers will keep your delicate items from the wear and tear caused by cheaper, less-sturdy hangers. We highly recommend wood hangers for delicate, woven items. Wood hangers keep clothing separated just enough so your wardrobe can breathe. The wood hangers also prevent delicate pieces from rubbing against each other causing snags and pulls. We suggest never using metal hangers on delicate items or sweaters because the metal can leach onto the clothing in humid climates. It can also “mold” the fabric to the garment's shoulders or sleeves leaving odd little points on your shoulders that you may not be able to iron out.

How Does a Solid Wood Hanger Is Produced

Raw material preparation
Purchasing raw wood material.Generally raw wood material will be purchased after the mid-autumn festival , and winter is suitable for raw material procurement.
Cut the wood into rectangular strips, about half the length of the hanger.
The wood pieces will be neatly placed in the stockroom, and will be sorted by size for air dry. It will take about 3 months to half a year to air-dry according to the original humidity condition of the wood and the weather.

Prototype making
Put the air-dried wood board through a planer, planing both sides to make it smooth.
After planing, the wood block is cut from the larger diagonal corner according to a certain arc curve. The original board is cut into two halves which are the prototype of two halves of a clothes hanger.
Glue the two halves together to form the shape of the hanger.
Plane it through the planer to make it smoother, and the rough prototype of the hanger appears.

Sanding or polishing
When the hanger prototype is done, it will need to be sanded. The sanding is divided into machine sanding and hand sanding, and machine sanding can be further divided into coarse sanding and fine sanding.
The first step is coarse sanding, and the second step is fine sanding.
Fill the unevenness after fine sanding, and then make it smooth by hand sanding.

Coating
Some hangers may need bleaching. Bleaching first. Soaking time is 0.5-3 minutes, then drying, drying temperature is 30 to 70 ℃.
After drying, the first bottom coating could be applied to the hanger.
After bottom paint gets dry, the top coating could be applied only after hand sanding. (usually three times of bottom coating and one top coating or twice bottom coating and twice top coating.)

Assembly accessories
Install hooks, anti-slip strips, clips and other accessories as required.

Packaging
Generally, the regular way of packaging is to put a pearl cotton layer and desiccant at the bottom of the carton.
Mid-end hangers are generally wrapped with pearl cotton layer with 2 or 4 pieces put face-to-face in the carton.
High-end hangers are each wrapped with pearl cotton layer with carton board put inside to prevent loosening, or put a divider on each layer to protect each hanger. Generally, the packing quantity of a box is within 10 to 40 pieces.
