This material is degradable wheat straw, which can be used to produce semi-degradable or fully degradable clothes hangers that cater to the specific requirements of our customers.
Degradable wheat straw is already a popular raw material in China, mainly used for the production of kitchen products. However, we saw its potential as an eco-friendly alternative to conventional plastic hangers and decided to test its viability for clothes hangers.
Advantages of Degradable Wheat Straw
After testing and comparing it with other materials, we found that hangers made of degradable wheat straw are lighter than conventional plastic hangers but still have a sufficient load-bearing capacity. The color of the end product may not be uniform, but the wheat particles add a unique touch to garments.
Furthermore, degradable wheat straw is made from green and eco-friendly materials such as wheat, rice husk, and other sustainable fibers. The first grade of this material consists of wheat straw fiber polylactic acid + PP, as well as wheat straw fiber + PE, which is semi-degradable.
The fully degradable material we use consists of 62% wheat fiber granules, 17.6% PBAT, and 17.6% PLA, which can last up to more than 12 months when preserved indoors under sealed conditions.
